In June I broke up with the greatest girl in the world. She was the definition of perfect and loved by all my friends and family…and most importantly she loved me beyond words. For reasons I still don’t even understand, I thought I was missing out on something in this world by being in a relationship, and so I just kinda up and left and hurt her more than I can imagine.
Roughly 5 to 6 months now since, she has moved on, grown stronger, and found someone who, I’m sure, truly deserves her.
And now I’ve finally realized that I made a mistake (understatement of the year). I had everything I could have ever wanted. I had everything that I miss so much right now. And I missed my window to possibly fixing things.
It’s one thing to be broken up with…but to let the perfect person just go is insane. I kinda hate myself.
